'I'm not paying for that thing': Bride gutted over grandmother's scathing wedding dress review on Say Yes To The Dress: Lancashire
You can always count on your family to give feedback when you need it the most.
But Jodie didn't expect her grandmother to be quite so brutally honest when she waltzed out in her dream wedding dress weeks before her wedding.

In a recent episode of Say Yes To The Dress: Lancashire – which you can watch for free on 9Now – Jodie enlisted the help of host Gok Wan to find a sleek but beautiful gown.
But she was left stunned when her opinionated grandma Kathleen slammed a detachable skirt on her ideal frock, even saying she wanted to "burn it".

Gok had found a dress Jodie thought was perfect, and she burst into tears of joy... that is, until her gran saw it.
Her grandma, Kathleen, had been wanting to give some money towards Jodie's dress, but this was not what she had in mind.

"Why's she got that pinned around her?" Kathleen told cameras.
"I'm not paying for that daft thing around the back. How can you spoil that by covering it up? Burn it, then I'll like it!"
Jodie was shook, and told cameras: "If anyone would have had a pair of socks at that moment in time, I probably would have shoved it in her mouth."

Trying to solve the dilemma, Gok took Kathleen to one side to pick out a dress for her granddaughter. Much to her surprise, Jodie absolutely loved it.
"I have to say, Nan's got great taste because this dress is gorgeous on you," Gok gushed.
Jodie then had two big choices ahead of her – the dress she chose initially, or the one Kathleen wanted.
