Yellowstone chef and star Gabriel 'Gator' Guilbeau reveals how you can create the 'Dutton family' meals at home

Fans will know him as 'Gator', the Dutton family cook that prepares all the meals we see in those intense dinner table scenes. Yep, you know the ones.
Watch every episode of Yellowstone on Stan.
Turns out, he prepares all the meals on set too.
Speaking to Today Extra, Gabriel 'Gator' Guilbeau revealed how he ended up starring in the hit-drama series with no acting experience – and unveiled how fans can re-create the dishes from the show.
You can catch the full interview in the video above.
"When I first showed up, I just fit in really well," he told hosts David Campbell and Sylvia Jeffreys.
"There always had to be a cook in the show and who better to play 'me' than me."
Starring in all five seasons, Gabriel admitted he had never done any acting before.
"I made sure to voice that to our fearless leader Taylor [Sheridan, Yellowstone creator], and he seemed to be un-phased by that fact. He said, 'That's great Gator, go ahead and do it anyways'."
So how does a chef without acting experience go about filming those zinger scenes?
"After a dozen or two takes, the laughs go away," said Gabriel. "There's no breaks or passes in Yellowstone, you've just got to do it all."

Some of the greatest scenes occur around the dinner table and Gabriel spilled his favourite moment in the clip below.
"It was really sentimental, we really did just throw a party for five days and you can tell when you watch it," he revealed.
Gabriel's new cookbook, Yellowstone: The Official Dutton Ranch Family Cookbook, is out now and features many of the recipes you see in the series, plus favourites from the cast.
It includes meals loved by the star behind Yellowstone's hero character, Kevin Costner (a.k.a John Dutton III).
"Kevin used to tell me to keep canned chilli and hot dogs available at all times and I said, 'Well, that's not going to work for me dude, we've got to do something better'," he laughed.
"I find that he's real good with simple flavours – soups and stews, chicken and dumplings in the book, that's a great one for him.
"He always likes apple pie and ice cream even though he tells me he's not supposed to eat sweets, but he does anyways."
