Hollander House in Sydney's Newport is going to auction with a $2,250,000 price guide.

Hollander House in Sydney's Newport is far from being a run-of-the-mill property.

The three-bedroom, two-bathroom home at 81 Grandview Drive is for sale and has been designed to blend in with its natural surroundings thanks to a quirky ferro-cement build.

Ferro-cement was developed by Italian engineer and architect Pier Luigi Nervi in 1940 and is a process where cement mortar is applied over metal mesh and held in place with thin steel rods.

The home was designed by Australian architect David Hollander between 1969 and 1971 and has an auction guide of $2.25 million. It is on the books of Luke Nolan-Harris and Laura Mears of McGrath Pittwater.

The unique home occupies three levels that effortlessly connect with one another.

Agents highlight this on the listing, suggesting that the property's "gently curved contours ebb and flow like waves".

Listing photos reveal sculptural, curved white walls that contrast with a retro design and pops of bold colour.
