How to save even more money as you shop the Black Friday sales

9PR

The Black Friday frenzy is setting in, with numerous brands dropping their deals way ahead of the usual day (November 24 this year, just a reminder). While the savings are amazing, we've found a way to save even more cash as you shop – if you can believe it.

Cash-back app ShopBack is offering up some pretty insane deals, so we suggest signing up now to get the best of both Black Friday and cashback deals.

If you haven't heard of ShopBack, and it sounds too good to be true, stick with us.

What is ShopBack?

ShopBack is an app that pays back a percentage of money to shoppers as a reward for using their service to buy a product. They are partnered with hundreds of retailers, each offering a different percentage of money returned, which fluctuates regularly. And this Black Friday the pay back is bigger than ever.

This Black Friday ShopBack is celebrating ShopFest, which includes a 30 per cent cashback at retailers Best & Less and Coles, and 15 per cent cashback for anyone who shops through Booking.com and David Jones.

They also have up to 100 per cent cashback going at Pizza Hut, so be sure to nab yourself a free pizza after a busy day of online shopping.

How does it work?

ShopBack receives a commission when people shop through their app, and their model is to just share part of that commission with their customers.

Once you've signed up to the app, you can click through to your favourite stores via the app. If you make a purchase, you'll receive an amount back through to your account.

For example, ShopBack currently has an upsized deal for Cotton On, offering 13 per cent cashback. So, if you go into the app, click through to the Cotton On retailer and buy a top for $30, $3.90 will be returned to the app to take out at any time.

Obviously, that's not much money, but $3.90 for shopping sounds like a pretty easy way to make money – it's a no-brainer but shop through ShopBack regularly and watch as your money accumulates.

To entice you further, the cashback deals are constantly changing, and massive savings will be available once ShopFest kicks off. And with 30 per cent off at Coles, you can get a heap of money back as you shop for your daily essentials online.

Unlike loyalty points, which are addictive in their own right but often go unused, this system rewards you with money that goes straight back to you. And if it's based on deals you were already planning to shop, such as during Black Friday, you'd be crazy not to take advantage of the savings.

How do I access the money?

The money will take a couple of days to land in your account. The retailer or brand will have to validate the purchase, and then ShopBack will credit you the cash. You can withdraw it into either your bank account or PayPal.

How do I sign up?

We've got the link handy right here, so jump on over to their website or app to check it out. They're also offering a code to new users, so if you pop BF2023 in when you're joining, they'll gift you $20 into your account for signing up.

So, what are you waiting for? Go get your money!
