Now finding their feet in the world as full-grown adults, Oly (Nathalie Morris) and Santi (Carlos Sanson Jr) are trying to stabilise their small family unit with their challenging daughter Jacinda.

Meanwhile, the new season finds Vince (Ioane Sa'ula), Talia (Henrietta Amevor) and Ariel (Matilda Ridgway) finding their own stride with toddler Malik too, although the involvement of Reema (Safia Arain) as sort-of-half-step-mum has complicated things a little – especially since she has no interest in having kids herself.

Season 4 also finds Angie (Claudia Karvan) clinging to the climate crisis as a distraction from her recent heartbreak, putting her at loggerheads once more with Rosa (Paula Garcia) whose growing restaurant empire seems far from sustainable.

As the chaos of life shows no signs of settling down, our characters are forced to confront the question: how do you find hope and joy in the midst of an existential crisis?

Bump has proven to be a phenomenal hit internationally in addition to domestically, with broadcast deals with the CW Network (US), BBC (UK), ProSieben (Germany) and CBC (Canada) among many others.

"Personally, I still struggle to get my head around the fact that [the show's] gone international, and I really think it did have a massive impact on The CW," Sanson Jr told 9Entertainment.

"I have family over in America that would send photos, because the show was in a primetime spot on The CW."
