Vases that look great even without the flowers

9PR

Flowers are one of the best and easiest treats. Whether you're grabbing some for yourself, or gifting them to someone you love, you know they'll bring immediate brightness to your home – which is why owning a few flower vases is important!

When I moved out of home a few years ago, flower vases were never something I thought to buy – I'd always taken my mum's collection for granted. For the first year, I left flowers in a jug, or artfully arranged on a table, serving as a reminder to myself to buy a vase. By that point, I'd moved beyond the cheap department store offerings and wanted something a little nicer for my place.

But it can be hard to nail your interior design style, and it might take a little experimentation. With that in mind, we've picked out the best flower vases from across the internet, which all represent very different tastes.

We think this glass vase will cater to so many different styles. If you like a lot of colour the small pomponettes will match your existing interiors, whereas if your style is more minimalist, it'll serve as a pop of colour. At just 21cm high, we wouldn't stick a whole bouquet in there, but that means you can be mindful of how you arrange your flowers. Buy yours here.
